TDF: AllSaints Paloma Dress & Miu Miu Glitter Booties

I have a love/hate relationship with the notoriously hip, national style blog, Refinery29. I love them because they are always on the pulse, and they keep me updated on the best trends and coolest events that are happening around my home base of San Francisco. I also hate them because more often then not, they post something that is so cute I can't handle it, and I definitely can't afford it (I am cursed with expensive taste). For example, yesterday they posted a story about the best fall dresses. Among them was this hot little number from AllSaints Spitalfields, called The Paloma Dress:

I must say, this dress is positively TDF (To Die For). For as long as I can remember, I have been dreaming of the perfect dress to wear to parties during the holidays. Particularly for New Year's Eve, I have always wanted something shimmery and sparkly - something that would make me stand out amongst a sea of LBDs (you know, at ALL those CLASSY parties I get invited to on New Year's Eve). I think I have found it. Not only is it short and slinky and covered with silvery sequins, it also has a subtle Native American pattern on it, and I have been OBSESSED with these kinds of patterns lately. I was once wild about zebra print (in 8th grade, okay?) then leopard print (on and off over the years) and now I am all about the geometric Southwestern patterns that you see typically in places like New Mexico and Arizona. But I digress. This dress is amazing, period. Now I just need to figure out a way to scrounge up $500 (here, piggy piggy) or cross my fingers and hope that this dress goes on sale soon.

Another thing I'm lusting after is this pair of silver and black Miu Miu glitter booties... I suppose if I can't have the sparkly dress, some sparkly shoes would do the trick (although in my dream world I would be able to afford both). I think wearing these WITH the Paloma dress would be a little over the top, but only if you think there is such a thing as too much glitter...
